Charity Worker Visa
The Charity Worker Visa, a subcategory of the UK Temporary Work route, is intended for individuals who wish to undertake unpaid voluntary work for a recognised UK charity. To qualify, applicants must be sponsored by a UK-based charity that holds a Temporary Worker sponsor licence. Applicants must be issued with a certificate of sponsorship. In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate that they can support themselves financially during their stay in the UK without recourse to public funds.
This visa allows successful applicants to live and volunteer in the UK for up to 12 months or the period stated on their Certificate of Sponsorship, whichever is shorter. The successful Applicants can study subject to ATAS, work for the job described in the certificate of sponsorship, do a second job in the same sector at the same level as the main job for up to 20 hours per week, and bring their partner and children.
The Charity Worker Visa provides an opportunity for individuals to contribute to charitable work in the UK while gaining valuable international volunteering experience.
The application fee for Charity Worker Visa is £319.
