Xinhui Lai is a trainee solicitor with a multidisciplinary background in both music and law. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, LLB from the University of Glasgow and LLM from the University of Strathclyde.

Before commencing her traineeship, Xinhui worked for six years as a Mandarin interpreter, with a particular focus on court work. She has also volunteered as a generalist adviser at Citizens Advice Bureau, assisting members of the public with a wide range of practical issues.

Xinhui is passionate about solving complex legal problems. She takes a structured approach, helping clients understand their position clearly and identify the realistic route forward.
